Although the return of the Mage Tower from WoW Legion was often requested, it was still a surprise when Blizzard announced that this popular content would be playable again as part of the time migration. Because until now, they had always ruled out a return of the Legion feature.
Even more surprising is the fact that the return of the Mage Tower will bring not only the familiar rewards, but also new ones. Among them is the new mount Soaring Spelltome, which you will receive if you successfully complete all seven challenges of the Mage Tower. If the name"Soaring Spelltome" sounds familiar to you, you obviously have a good memory. This flying tome was one of five mounts that Blizzard introduced as a concept a little over a year ago. The players were then allowed to decide which of these concepts should be realized. At that time, the Wandering Urtum won the vote and came into the game some time later.
But apparently the developers didn't stop working on the other concepts, because now the then third-placed mount is coming into play after all. At the time, the Spelltome was described as follows:
- Soaring Spelltome: In the forgotten depths of the Dalaran library, this oversized tome was found flapping madly around the room. Open the pages of this arcane-infused book and hitch a ride to magical adventure.
And of course, countless amateur and professional designers have already started to visually implement their idea of this mount. Of course we don't want to withhold these from you.
- The flying book by InicoCustom was created long before Blizzard had such a mount in mind, but it fits perfectly.
- Lordozy's version already looks pretty epic.

- Peter Yu's version, on the other hand, looks rather a bit funny.
