As you know, WoW patch 9.1 landed on the public test server a few days ago and in this news we summarize what is known so far about the legendary memories and items.
Finding No. 1: There will be new ranks for Legendarys
You can upgrade your Legendary Items to two new ranks with WoW Patch 9.1.
- Rank 1: Item level 190
- Rank 2: Itemlevel 210
- Rank 3: Itemlevel 225
- Rank 4: Itemlevel 235
- NEW: Rank 5: Itemlevel 250
- NEW: Rank 6: Itemlevel 260
For comparison, the last two bosses in the upcoming Sanctum of Domination raid challenge drop loot items at item level 259 on Mythic difficulty.
Insight #2: Soul Ashes cost does not increase
As promised during BlizzCon, we can expect no higher Soul Ash costs in patch 9.1. Crafting a Rank 5 or Rank 6 Legendary costs the same as crafting a Rank 4 item, 5,150 Soul Ash, according to Wowhead's dataminers.
Insight #3: New material Rudiment of Origins .
Rudiment of Origins gives crafters a new material to craft with other resources. Blacksmithing, Jewelry, Leatherworking, and Tailoring each have their own recipes with their own resource requirements. However, all versions of the rudiment also require a new resource: Progenian Fragment. These fragments can only be obtained on the PTR through daily quests in the Maw. It remains to be seen if more sources will be added.
You can then use the Rudiment of Origins to increase the base item level of your Legendary. The base items will get a new socket for this, and you can then put the rudiment into it.
Finding #4: Pact-specific Legendarys
With WoW patch 9.1, there will also be new Legendary memories that you can use to build Legendarys. So far, for example, dataminers have discovered a few pact-specific memories, with more expected to come to light in the coming weeks. We'll keep you updated on the finds in the article below:
