Update from 01 December:
The Thanksgiving holidays are over and Blizzard is slowly waking up from its feeding coma. Say: The public test server for WoW patch 9.2 could go online at any time. Where do we get the certainty from? Well, according to Icy Veins, the next build for WoW patch 9.2 has now landed at the WoW vendor in encrypted form. According to experience, it won't be too long after that until the new content can be tested on the PTR.
Update from November 19:
Yesterday we speculated whether WoW patch 9.2 could land on the public test server for World of Warcraft this week. Now the Blizzard developers have commented on exactly that. Their answer (loosely translated): It depends. Okay, we have it of course still more exactly for you!
PTR test of End of Eternity
"As you may have seen elsewhere, we are preparing for the public PTR test of End of Eternity.
We are currently at a point where we need to finish several additional steps and tests before we can get started with the actual public test. We want to let you know that it is currently very likely that we will not get the PTR open until the end of the week, which for us in the US marks the beginning of the Thanksgiving holiday.
We will keep you posted as soon as the PTR is ready for public testing. We're very excited for you guys to try out the new content."
Original post from November 18:
It wasn't that long ago that WoWHead's dataminers found the first encrypted vendor build for WoW Patch 9.2 "End of Eternity" on the World of Warcraft Content Delivery Network (CDN) (buy now ). Just under two weeks ago, we were still surprised that the Blizzard developers set the course for the next test phase so unusually early after the release of WoW Patch 9.1.5.
Second 9.2. build
We are now much less surprised that the dataminers have now discovered another "Encrypted Vendor Build" for WoW Patch 9.2. Build number 40958 becomes 41089, but it is still not possible to extract data from the build. That's probably why it's "encrypted." But such a second build in the past usually meant that one, two days later the public test server goes live with the new content.

PTR before or after Thanksgiving?
If that's not the case, we'll probably have to wait at least another week and a half for the launch of WoW Patch 9.2. That's because most of Activision Blizzard's U.S. employees are off during Thanksgiving week.
