Players in WoW have had to wait for new content for many months now. Patch 9.1.5 has only brought adjustments to existing systems and patch 9.2 has not even arrived on the PTR yet. So that not even the last player disappointed cancels his subscription, the content of patch 9.2, end of eternity, should convince not only qualitatively, but also quantitatively. The dataminers have now found a first positive sign for this.
Bigger is always better!
The dataminers have dug up the first maps of the new area Zereth Mortis and compared them directly with the existing areas in Shadowlands. And what came out is quite positive. Zereth Mortis is much bigger than Korthia, the area that came into the game with patch 9.1.5.
To be more precise, it even surpasses the combination of Korthia and the Maw in terms of size and even reaches the four areas of the pacts. In addition, the different biomes can be seen and we get an approximate idea of the division of the area.

Of course, size isn't everything. Because all that space has to be filled well, of course. The biggest areas are no good if there are no cool quests or events happening there. However, we will only be able to judge whether that is the case on the PTR.

Besides, you have to be careful. Because many parts of Zereth Mortis are separated from the actual continent. Whether these are really accessible, or whether they are rather floating decorative items, also remains to be seen. Some areas, mainly in the east, seem to be clearly accessible, but many of the other areas not necessarily.
Just a first sign
Whether Zereth Mortis will convince quantitatively or not - the sheer size of the area is in any case more of a positive than a negative sign. However, that's all at this point. Now the developers have to prove that they can fill the area with great content and that the new systems and features aren't just another pipe-drop, but are tailored to the wishes of the players.
What do you think about Zereth Mortis and Patch 9.2 so far - are you excited or do you already have the worst fears?
