With the exhaustion mechanic, the developers try to keep WoW players within the actual game world so that they never reach the end of the programmed areas. However, this mechanic, which permanently damages you as soon as you leave the "allowed" areas, can be tricked, as YouTuber Rerxtroy has now proven again in a video.
In the past, he had already managed to generate more self-healing than the exhaustion inflicts on you as an immortal warlock through the clever use of some abilities. Now, however, he has found a way that works equally well with all classes and playstyles from WoW.
Free exploration of the world
This gives you the opportunity to explore corners of the game world that you would otherwise never get to. For example, Rextroy set out to explore the border of Zandalar and even came across some mysterious underwater caves.

Or a smiley face painted on the ground at the edge of the Devastated Isles. In many places, however, the developers have built in additional invisible walls so that you can't reach certain areas.
First you have to die!
But the question is: How did Rextroy manage to do that? After all, the exhaustion damage isn't exactly low and is based on your maximum health points, so it can't be bypassed with better equipment.
The trick lies in the buff food seraph wing. This provides you with a steady but small amount of healing outside of combat. To save you from death by exhaustion, however, this healing is too small. Since the healing can hardly be increased, the damage must be reduced. This depends on your maximum health points. Ergo: Your own life points have to be reduced.
Since taking off the entire armor is not enough, Rextroy killed himself and revived at the Spirit Healer. Through the subsequent debuff Resurrection Aftermath , he was able to reduce his health points to just over 2,000 HP. This meant that the damage he took was less than the healing from Seraph Wing, and he could move anywhere in the world - until the debuff expired after ten minutes.
